Our Project

We make wine in styles we love and that we find approachable while respecting vintage and vineyard variability. Garnering influence from Piemonte and seeking out our favorite French varietals, we are creating wines that are reminiscent of their origin and true to their Santa Barbara County locations. We have a fortunate relationship with one of the original grape growers of this region, Louis Lucas. Working closely with a living legend such as Louis has allowed us to properly sample our grapes and make our own picking decisions. As we approach our third vintage for the Alamati project, we find ourselves in a shepherding role, observing and learning how best to express the fruit we work with and make the highest quality wine possible. We are grateful to the network of local and foreign winemakers we have worked with and studied under. Ranging from Italy to New Zealand and most importantly the Central Coast of California, these mentors have been instrumental in helping us develop our own winemaking style.
The idea to create this wine isn’t solely based on passion for wine but also a desire to make an accessible product. We want to draw in our community and build something that can support and intermingle with local artists, chefs, and musicians.
We can’t wait to share our wine with you!
